Fears of new fire
Firefighters worked frantically to contain several major bush fires still burning around Sydney yesterday as forecasts of warmer weather and stiffer winds raised fears that firestorms could flare anew, Reuter reports from Sydney. About 150 fires continued to blaze across the state. Estimates of damage was put at about Adollars 150m ( pounds 67m).
