Flat Earth: Trotters not rotters, say animal spotters

IS YOUR landlord giving you a difficult time about keeping your Vietnamese pot-bellied pig - as well as your camel, llama, alpaca and alligator - in your flat? Just pack them all up and move to Los Angeles, where they will be legal, even if you aren't.

The city's Animal Regulation Commission has ruled that the pigs are 'cute' and not to be confused with their swine brethren. 'These animals do love people and do develop cute personalities,' a report to the commission said.

There are some rules, however. The commission recommended a limit of two pigs per household, removal of male pigs' tusks before they reach the age of two, and keeping the animals on a lead when taking them for a walk. But who walks in LA?
