LONDON (Reuter) - Britain said yesterday it was vital that Kenya's first multi-party elections in 26 years be free and fair and expressed concern at reports of opposition candidates being physically prevented from presenting nomination papers. The Foreign Office demanded that these reports be thoroughly investigated and that 'prompt remedies be found where complaints are substantiated'.
