Paris - France accused Britain, Germany and the United States of harbouring Algerian Muslim fundamentalists. The Interior Minister, Charles Pasqua, was speaking a day after suspected Muslim insurgents shot dead five French government employees in Algiers.

Mr Pasqua said France was vigilant in cracking down on fundamentalist activites on its soil but Britain, Germany and the United States had failed to act when tipped off about similar activities within their borders. Reuter
