Gulf lawsuit
A group of Gulf war veterans has filed a dollars 1bn ( pounds 666m) lawsuit against 11 chemical companies for injuries they say were caused by biological weapons made from products the companies allegedly sold to Iraq, Reuter reports from Houston. The state court lawsuit alleged the defendants knew that their products were to be used to produce chemical and biological weapons in contravention of the law.
