About 2,000 marchers began a sit-in, threatening to storm police barricades near the Indian-defended ceasefire line dividing Kashmir unless Pakistan opened routes into the disputed region, Reuter reports from Seri. Mumtaz Hussain Rathore, one of the leaders of the march to demonstrate support for a three-year-old rebellion in Indian-ruled Kashmir, gave the Pakistani government until midnight to meet his conditions.
