King Fahd takes back the reins
Manama - Saudi Arabia's King Fahd said he was resuming full powers, declaring early today that his illness was over. "I have finished my recuperative period," the king told his brother, Crown Prince Abdullah, to whom he had handed the reins of state on New Year's Day. The nature of the king's illness was never officially divulged but US officials said he suffered a stroke. AP
