Libya denounced new UN sanctions for its refusal to surrender two suspects in the 1988 bombing of a Pan Am airliner over Lockerbie but said it was still urging them to stand trial in Scotland, Reuter reports from Tunis. 'While expressing its displeasure and deep regret (the Foreign Ministry) reaffirms . . . the serious and sincere will of Libya to reach a solution to this artificial crisis as soon as possible,' the ministry said in a statement.
