Limassol split over the Queen
Arow over whether to present the Queen with the key to Limassol has divided the Cypriot port which will host the Commonwealth summit from 21 to 25 October, Reuter reports from Limassol. The municipal council has put off a decision until next week. Left-wingers say Britain has been hostile to Cyprus since independence, while some right- wingers say honouring her insults the memories of nine Eoka fighters hanged by Britain during Cyprus's pre-independence war in the late 1950s.
