Lucky escape for passengers and crew after jumbo jet overshoots runway at Hong Kong airport
Rescue workers help to evacuate 296 passengers and crew from a China Airlines Boeing 747 after it overshot the runway at Hong Kong's Kai Tak airport during a storm yesterday. Twenty-two people from Flight CAL605, which originated in Taipei, Taiwan, were taken to hospital. Five had only minor injuries and the rest were treated for shock and exposure.
