King Abdullah dissolved parliament last night and called early elections, on the eve of an opposition rally to demand democratic reforms.
The Islamist opposition Muslim Brotherhood, which has been pressing the king to speed up pace of political change, hopes to stage its largest demonstration yet in Amman since protests inspired by the Arab Spring erupted last year.
