French authorities are reportedly investigating whether Hayat Boumeddiene, the wife of jihadi gunman Amedy Coulibaby who took 17 people hostage in Paris, is the woman in a new Isis video entitled “Blow up France 2”.
The video was reportedly released on Tuesday and shows Isis fighters calling for new attacks on France while praising the Paris attacks. A woman is seen in camouflage clothing, holding a weapon and stood next to the jihadi speaker.

CNN reports that a source close to the investigation into the latest video from French-speaking Isis (also known as Islamic State) fighters, entitled “Blow up France 2”, said: “French authorities are investigating the possibility this woman could be Hayat Boumeddiene.”
Boudeddiene’s husband Coulibaly was killed in a hail of police gunfire after he took 17 people hostage in a kosher supermarket in Paris on 9 January. Four of the hostages were killed and authorities are understood to still be searching for Boumeddiene, who is believed to be in Syria.
CNN reports that he latest Isis video calls for more attacks on soldiers and police officers in France, with the terrorists on film stating: “If you fight for democracy, we will fight for Islam.
“You will have to accept that we will react fully to the numerous crimes you committed. You took our rights. Therefore you don’t expect to be in peace.”
