Nicaraguan envoy held
SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA (AP) - Cardinal Miguel Obando y Bravo of Nicaragua held talks with three armed men yesterday who took over the Nicaraguan embassy and tried to persuade them to give up their hostages and end the siege.
The three stormed the embassy on Monday and are holding about 19 hostages, including the Nicaraguan ambassador. Their demands include the firing of the Sandinista leader, Humberto Ortega, as head of the Nicaraguan army.
