An empty Boeing 747 may be blown up by United States investigators to see if the resultant wreckage would help them determine what caused the explosion that downed TWA Flight 800, the Washington Post reported. If investigators carry out the test, it would take place on the ground and the explosives most likely would be placed near the centre fuel tank of the aircraft, the newspaper said.
