Macedonia's first ambassador to Belgrade has been appointed. The country, the only former Yugoslav republic to secede peacefully from the Balkan federation, named Slavko Milosavlevski, a university law professor, as the first ambassador from any of the former Yugoslav republics to be sent to Belgrade, capital of the old federation.
His appointment followed mutual recognition of Serb-led rump Yugoslavia and Macedonia in April. AP - Belgrade
