North Yemenis 'capture key town'
Northern Yemeni forces captured a key town in southern Yemen that lies on a main road to the southern stronghold of Aden, Reuter reports from Dhalea.
A pool report by a journalist taken to Dhalea, 60 miles north of Aden, by the northern-based defence ministry said troops took the town on Thursday evening after southern forces retreated peacefully.
Captain Hussain Aziz, a defence ministry official, said northern forces had since advanced a further 2.5 miles to the south and established a forward position at the promontory of Nazil Rabadh.
