Pakistani race for presidency
Pakistan's Foreign Minister, Farooq Leghari, is expected to win today's presidential election after four candidates withdrew to make the contest a straight race the against acting-president, Wasim Sajjad, AFP reports from Islamabad.
Mr Leghari, 53, has secured an 'unassailable' lead after the challenger, Akbar Bugti, withdrew, leaders of Benazir Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party said.
