Parents to be protected by law
SINGAPORE (AP) - Singaporeans who refuse to help support their aged parents may be fined or jailed under a proposal being studied in Parliament. Parents would be able to apply to the courts to compel their children to give them a monthly allowance or a lump sum. AP
