Party expels Rwandan PM
Agathe Uwilingiyamana, the Rwandan Prime Minister, and three of her ministers have been expelled from the Democratic and Republican Movement party over what the MDR described as treason, Reuter reports from Kigali.
Ms Uwilingiyamana, Rwanda's first female prime minister, was appointed by President Juvenal Habyarimana, but most members of her party opposed the move, saying her predecessor should remain in office until peace talks with the rebel Rwanda Patriotic Front were concluded.
