PLO row over peace talks
The Palestine Liberation Organisation's representative in Lebanon said yesterday that he was suspending his membership of the group's command to protest at its handling of the Middle East peace talks, AP reports from Beirut. Shafik al-Hout also called for an emergency meeting of the PLO's 'parliament- in-exile' to adopt a clear policy on the US-sponsored talks between the Arabs and Israelis.
