A Berlin court, in an exceptional sentence, fined a policeman 4,000 German marks ( pounds 1,590) yesterday for having sung the 'Horst Wessel Song', the banned anthem of Adolf Hitler's Brownshirts, AFP reports from Berlin. The patrolman, 26, chanted the song when he was drunk at an outdoors party last August.
