Hungarian workmen found an illegal 'pipeline' probably used to smuggle fuel over the border to Yugoslavia in defiance of UN sanctions, and pump alcohol back, Reuter reports from Budapest. The hose stretched across the border to a farm in Serbia. Asked whether smugglers used the same hose for fuel and alcohol, Colonel Atilla Krisan of the border police said: 'Knowing the quality of Yugoslav cognacs, I would not be surprised.'
