AQABA - Jordanian and Israeli delegates ended two days of talks at a gap in their barricaded border with agreement to meet continuously from 8 August in search of a peace treaty.

The statement, completed after hours of debate and consultations with their capitals, was carefully worded not to box in negotiators as they tackle Jordan's claims for return of land occupied by Israel and for a better share of the region's scarce water supplies. Reuter
