Rebuff for Yeltsin
Parliament in Moscow yesterday defied President Boris Yeltsin by rejecting his demand for budget deficit cuts, a move which could jeopardise further instalments of international aid to Russia, Helen Womack reports from Moscow.
The Soviet-era assembly then voted by 151-3 to approve its own high spending plan.
