Refugees face starvation
LONDON (Reuter) - China, locked in a worsening dispute with Britain over Hong Kong, has increased its jamming of BBC radio broadcasts in Mandarin.
'Interference has now been found on all frequencies carrying BBC Chinese-language programmes in Mandarin,' the BBC said. It said that its output in English and Cantonese, spoken in the south of the country near Hong Kong, was not being hit. But it said the Voice of America's signals in Mandarin were also being interfered with.
