Ship for land with no sea
Kazakhstan, which has no outlet to the high seas, has bought its first ocean-going freighter and named it after the former Soviet republic's President, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Reuter reports from Moscow. Tass said the Nursultan was registered on the Isle of Man, which would become the home port for other ships Kazakhstan plans to buy in partnership with unspecified English firms. Kazakhstan plans a small naval fleet for the Caspian Sea.
