Five astronauts and a cosmonaut returned to Earth aboard Discovery making a delayed landing in Florida after the first joint US-Russian space shuttle mission, Reuter reports from Cape Canaveral. Discovery landed at the Kennedy Space Center near where it took off on 3 February, after making 131 orbits of Earth on a journey of 3.4 million miles. The veteran cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev was one of the crew for the mission.
