Somalis free UN aid worker
MOGADISHU (Reuter) - Kidnappers freed a British aid worker unharmed in Mogadishu yesterday after 42 hours, and officials said they believed more abductions in Somalia were unlikely.
Calum Gardner, finance officer for the UN World Food Programme in Somalia, celebrated with slices of banana cake baked by friends after he was freed by Somalis who seized him on Monday.
