South African Elections: Zulus cancel march
LADYSMITH - Some 2,000 Zulus cancelled a march through Ladysmith after police set up a roadblock and disarmed them of spears, axes, machetes and steel pipes, AP reports. Around 30 busloads of Zulus, many of them members of Inkatha, were stopped and ordered to hand over weapons under an 18-day state of emergency prohibiting the carrying of so-called traditional weapons in public.
