Togo calm

Sporadic shooting continued in Togo's capital yesterday but the city was mostly calm after two attacks which the government blamed on neighbouring Ghana, Reuter reports from Lome. Togo's Foreign Minister, Ouattara Natchaba, said Ghana-based supporters of the exiled opposition leader, Gilchrist Olympio, had fired on Togolese forces at the border and he held the Ghanaian government responsible.
