Trifling offence
A black South African woman working as a bank cleaner was taken to jail by a white security guard who accused her of stealing a teaspoonful of coffee and sugar and a drop of milk after she helped herself to a cup of coffee, AP reports from Pretoria. Johanna Nomsa Motau was freed after the state refused to prosecute, saying the amount taken was too small.
