Troops give up
Maputo - Nearly all Mozambican government troops and rebel fighters turned themselves in at UN assembly points by an 8 July deadline set under a peace plan that calls for democratic elections in October. More than 43,000 soldiers and about 18,000 rebels have reported to the UN-supervised camps. AP
