US babies shock
Thousands of babies across the US have been abandoned in their hospital cribs by parents unwilling or unable to take them home, according to a draft report from the Department of Health and Human Services, AP reports from Washington.
They are the victims of crack-cocaine, poverty, homelessness and Aids, says the report. And they are one of the reasons why the number of US children in care is nearing half a million.
