Vance and Owen check on Serbs

BANJA LUKA (AFP) - The peace mediators Cyrus Vance and Lord Owen arrived in this Bosnian town to check reports of 'ethnic cleansing' in the Serbian-controlled region.

'We are concerned about the reports we heard and we came here to find out the truth,' Lord Owen said. But Bosnia's nationalist Serb leader Radovan Karadzic said things were 'not that serious'.
