Yemen's rival leaders signed a reconciliation designed to avert civil war and fragmentation of their country, Reuter reports from Amman. More than 300 Yemeni politicians, tribal chieftains, and former presidents saw the President, Ali Abdullah Saleh, and Vice-President Ali Salem al- Baidh sign the pact. The country has been paralysed by internal disputes since last August.
