Headache? Listless? Empty feeling at the core of your being? Yes, it is a hangover from the cricket; from the adrenalin, endorphins and possibly one or two added ingredients absorbed during last week's denouement of the Ashes thriller.

What now, though, for Anglo-Britain's fair-weather sporting patriots? ("Goodness, that Shane Warne has a powerful serve.") Soccer and rugby are not quite up to scratch on the bill-fitting score. Heads up: 17 October is the start of National Badminton Week. Come on Great Britain.
