Am I the only one that finds this a little racist? Like the Obama chimp cartoon, perhaps? And for the same reasons.

The G20 and a murder
[info]mikegeorge wrote:

The far superior educated Mr. Ian Tomlinson and his murderer the primary school leaver and the far, far below the standard of a primary education Mr. violent police man. It is clear to any one that Mr. Ian Tomlinson is a peaceful man has no part or anything to do with the protests walking peacefully, expressing his rights as a citizen, and as a free man and to be any where he pleases to in his home land. You could tell that Mr. Ian Tomlinson did not know anything about the G20 or the protests, his age and the way he was dressed up is clearly saying that. I'm sure Mr. Ian Tomlinson would have taken another route to avoid the protests if he had known about it. This is what most of us would do any way. What has happened to Mr. Ian Tomlinson is no doubt about it, a murder. If you watch the footage again you will find that the steps before the murder is committed are all there. I'm not going to go through them or give an explanation of a murder because it's too high for a primary school leaver, the police man, to understand. If you look at the footage again you can see Mr. Ian Tomlinson was walking in a peaceful manner in front of the murderer, the police man, for a long time. A few seconds is a long time for the human brain to think of the murder that they are going to commit. So here the police man was thinking about what he was going to do later, which is thinking about Mr. Ian Tomlinson and how to murder him, then came preparing himself for the murder, then came the action which is giving a big blow to the back of Mr. Ian Tomlinson sending him flying to the ground, a blow with the bat to the legs of Mr. Ian Tomlinson was not enough to the murderer, it explains that the murderer wants to kill here. A blow of that kind with the size of Mr. Ian Tomlinson would require an extreme force to do it. The footage explains everything. Human beings are not like a brick wall, any fall or trip or a punch anywhere in the body, big or small would kill us any one of us who had experienced any of these and survived it he is very lucky.
I am offering my condolences to Mr. Ian Tomlinson's family. The murderer should be brought to justice.
PS. The minimum age for joining the police should be moved to 30.
There should be a psychological test conducted by psychologists added to the extremely below the standard police tests.

Says it all really and reminds us that the Police will be working on a face saving exercise that works in their favour rather than any attempt at justice for Ian. Instead of making an example of the police officer serving as a warning to other officers not to cross that line, they will twist and turn, cover up and hide behind their corrupt blue wall of silence and Ian Tomlinson will NOT get justice.

A friend of mines brother worked with that copper who killed the young girl in Newcastle, the policeman who was found guilty is claiming to his colleagues he was framed because the video evidence was removed immediately but this was done because someone knew that the camera film was very much likely to disappear and be destroyed.

Gutless maggots who only serve themselves, Brown had better make sure that there is a proper investigation here... or there will be consequences.

I wrote to my MP regarding the murder of Mr Tomlinson. This was a clear murder and that there was clear case for the policeman to be charged without internal investigation. My MP ansewred me in a way which had nothing to do with murder but every thing to do with G20 meeting and demonstration control. Looks that when it comes to police no one wants to know what happens to justice. Are we now living in a police state?

This cartoon is extremely offensive. I cannot see how you found amusing inspiration from the 20th anniversary of a disaster where 96 people, men women and children died horrifically. You have the morals of Kelvin Mckenzie.

Shame on you.

These are actual, real people - they were actually tortured. I don't think it is right to use them in a cartoon, however satirical the message in it is. Picture your own body in there and think about it.

This is disgusting and shameful. These men were tortured and by displaying this kind of pic (which isn't humourous or clever btw) you are continuing and participating in their humiliation. Imagine if this was a pic of your father or brother. Seriously, what is wrong with you?
Re: iraqi torture pic
[info]corporeal4now wrote:

Agreed thats it promotes the humiliation of the iraqi.

Its because the ones being mocked are not american or british, thats what makes it ok. If it was the otherway around, there would have been a mass outrage at these pics being used for fun.
