NEW gardens opening for the first time this weekend in the National Gardens Scheme include the old walled garden at Coleg Glynllifon, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, which is being restored according to plans found in the county archives. Open today (10am-4pm), admission 50p. In Stockton, near Warminster in Wiltshire, the Harrisons are opening their garden at the Old Rectory. There is a herb garden, peonies and roses and several enclosures. Open tomorrow (2.30- 6pm), admission pounds 1. Mrs Charles's garden at Gaywood Farm, near Pulborough, Sussex, has a pond, the margins thick with plants. There are also richly planted flower borders. Open today, tomorrow and Monday (2-6pm), admission pounds 1.
