How many cats are too many? Well, for one Israeli man (and probably everyone else), 550 was pushing it. He recently divorced his wife after she refused to reduce the number of pets she owned.
There's no word on how he managed to count the blighters, so perhaps he rounded the number up – or, gulp – down . The cats stopped him sleeping (by commandeering the bed) and eating (by swiping food from his plate). Now, I love a cat more than the next woman, but clearly this was a case of animal hoarding.
But if in doubt, use my rule of thumb: you should only own as many cats as you can hold.
