Top draw

Say curtains to boring textiles as John Lewis launches a new range of fabulous fabrics by designers such as Louise Brody and Ptolemy Mann. Expect lots of colour, florals and traditional prints. From £55 a metre, johnlewis.com

Northern lights

The taste of Galicia comes to town next month, as tapas star Brindisa launches Mariscada at its Soho branch. On 6 and 7 July, guests will sup on piles of delicious seafood, washed down with Albarino. £37.50 for a sharing platter for two, brindisa.com

Through the looking glass

Get an outsider's view of the capital at Another London, showcasing photographs by visitors including Henri Cartier-Bresson, Elliott Erwitt and Bruce Davidson. Opens at Tate Britain on 27 July; tate.org.uk

Eating out

We're cuckoo about The Oak Room's enamel bird-print picnicware. Available in red or green, it will add a touch of brightness to the soggiest camping trip. At £26.95 a set, it is sure to fly off the shelves (so to speak). Oakroomshop.co.uk

Stone me

If you've got a cocktail party, we've got the ring. There are four to choose from, in fact, in the shiny new Daisy collection from Sushilla. Styles include rose quartz and aquamarine, and blue amethyst and topaz. From £249 each, sushilla.co.uk

Going for gold

We're pumped about Create 2012 Souvenirs, a winning range of keepsakes by British designers, priced between £10 and £50. In first place are the delightful exercise books (geddit?) by the Scottish interiors doyenne, Donna Wilson. Createlondon.org
