Aldair ends Americans' run

Brazil struggled to a 1-0 win over the United States to reach the final of the Copa America. The States' progress had included a 2-1 win over Chile and a 3-0 victory over Argentina .

The defender Aldair won the game for the world champions in the 12th minute, heading in after a swerving free-kick by Juninho. Brazil play the hosts, Uruguay, in today's final.
