The Chicago Bulls held the Heat to just 11 points in the fourth quarter as they charged to an 84-77 recovery victory over Miami on Tuesday in the opening game of the Eastern Conference finals. Michael Jordan scored 37 points, Scottie Pippen had 24 points and Dennis Rodman pulled down 19 rebounds for the Bulls, who trailed by as many 16 points in the first half, by 11 at half-time and by five at the end of three quarters.

Chris Finch, a Sheffield Sharks player for the past three seasons, has been appointed coach to the Budweiser League club. He replaces fellow American Jim Brandon, who joined Manchester Giants on Tuesday.
