Bath are about to become one of the richest rugby clubs in the country with a pounds 5m investment from Andrew Brownsword, the greetings card magnate.
Brownsword, worth an estimated pounds 200m, will be the sixth millionaire to invest in a rugby union club since the game went professional. He will foot the pounds 1.5m annual wage bill of the champions.
The club's 4,000 members will be asked to approve the investment at their annual meeting on 18 July.
