Joe Calzaghe's attempt to win a Lonsdale Belt outright has been put on hold. The British super-middleweight champion from Newbridge tripped in a hole while on a training run and his scheduled title defence against Liverpool's Paul Wright in Halifax tonight is off.

Herol Graham, the former British and European middleweight champion, will fight an American, Terry Ford of Washington, when he comes out of retirement next month. Graham, making a comeback at the age of 37, will face Ford at the Concord Sports Centre, Sheffield, on 26 November in his first fight since he quit after being beaten by Frank Grant in a British title fight four years ago.
