Scotland's Paul Weir has been granted a rematch with the World Boxing Organisation light-flyweight champion, "Baby" Jake Matlala. The pair must meet before 30 March.

Dan Duva, a dominant promoter for almost 20 years, died in New York yesterday following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 44.

Colin McMillan, the former WBO featherweight champion, stopped Justin Murphy after two minutes 17 seconds of round four in Barking last night. McMillan received no payment for the fight.
