Heathens lose their home
Cradley Heath, one of Britain's leading teams for the past 50 years, were facing the threat of closure yesterday when the owners of the club's stadium announced they had sold the site for housing. The Heathens have been racing at Dudley Wood since 1947 and now have the problem of having to find a new stadium. The promoter Les Pottinger said: "Contracts will not be exchanged for at least a year. We shall continue to fight to keep the club alive."
