Hugh Davies, the Glamorgan chairman, has survived an attempt to oust him from the post and has been re-elected for a further three years.

Phil Simmons, the West Indies batsman, has been fined 10 per cent of his match fee for "attempting to intimidate the umpire when appealing for a leg before wicket decision" in the fourth one-day international against New Zealand on Wednesday.
