Mullally misses the Championship match with Glamorgan starting in Cardiff today after Leicestershire, second to Warwickshire in the table, decided to punish the Australian themselves.
Mullally had been reported to the Test and County Cricket Board and the Leicestershire manager, Jack Birkenshaw, said: 'We don't condone that type of behaviour and felt this was the appropriate course of action.'
Mullally is replaced in the side by Alamgir Sheriyar, the 20-year- old who took a hat-trick on his Championship debut against Durham last month.
Meanwhile, Dermot Reeve, the Warwickshire captain, has decided not to play against the fourth- placed Sussex at Hove.
Reeve has missed six of the last seven Championship games because of a groin injury and, although fit again, he has decided to retain a winning team.
Warwickshire start this round of matches 29 points ahead of Leicestershire, who have a game in hand, and 38 clear of Sussex.Reuse content
