THE RECORDS LARA BROKE

400 not out is the highest individual Test score, surpassing Matthew Hayden's 380 made for Australia against Zimbabwe in October 2003.

Lara is the first batsman to hit 400 in a Test innings.

Lara is the only player to have hit the highest Test score twice. He made 375 v England in 1994 to break Garfield Sobers' unbeaten 365 in 1958.

Lara is the second batsman to reach 300 twice after Sir Donald Bradman.
