The curtain raiser for the 2011 Cricket World Cup on Saturday will take place between two of the host nations, India and Bangladesh. When the two teams met at the beginning of the World Cup in 2007, Bangladesh ran out comfortable winners by five wickets, proving that the possibility of an upset at this level is a very real danger.

In addition to the host nation, and in light of Canada's near-embarrassment of England during the week, we take a look at their credentials alongside other ICC Associate nations Ireland, Kenya, and the Netherlands; teams that could continue to rip up the form book over the next few weeks, with a few players in particular catching the eye.
